In Beech Grove I (1902), Gustav Klimt paints a woodland landscape in blue-grey, rusty brown and ochre. This Klimt print features tall trunks running vertically through a densely patterned forest. A broad blue-grey trunk stands near the centre, while a darker trunk anchors the right side. Small, broken marks cover the leaf-strewn ground, with pale gaps filtering light between the trees above. It comes across as quiet and reflective, suited to traditional or contemporary interiors, particularly a living room or study. You might pair it with a shaded lamp and warm light to echo the earthy leaf colours. I was tossing up whether to get this one and I'm really glad I did. Turns out it does work perfectly with the rest of the rooms decor. I do think the photos online make it look slightly lighter than it is in real life, but honestly I still love it.
