In Attersee (1900), Gustav Klimt paints a lake landscape in turquoise, pale blue and soft grey. This Klimt print gives most of the composition to water, with short, curved brushstrokes describing ripples across the foreground. Distant hills fade along the high horizon, while a dark headland enters from the upper right. It comes across as peaceful and fresh, a natural fit for coastal or contemporary interiors. Consider it for your bedroom or home office. A low ceramic bowl or a small stack of books on the surface below can echo the gentle horizontal lines without adding clutter. I was tossing up whether to get this one and I'm really glad I did. Turns out it does work perfectly with the rest of the rooms decor. I do think the photos online make it look slightly lighter than it is in real life, but honestly I still love it.
