Arid Land II by Bronwyn Baker is a soft, open landscape that sits somewhere between nature wall art and abstract wall art. Loose washes of sandy peach, clay, rust, pale sage and stormy grey drift across the scene, with a deep green form anchoring the right side like scrub on the edge of a salt flat. The layered composition feels airy and grounded at the same time. You get the sense of wide country, still light and dry heat, without anything feeling too literal.

I was tossing up whether to get this one and I'm really glad I did. Turns out it does work perfectly with the rest of the rooms decor. I do think the photos online make it look slightly lighter than it is in real life, but honestly I still love it.
