Three Piece Sets Wall Art
Three Piece Wall Art Sets
There’s something about three. One piece can look a bit lonely. Two can feel like you stopped halfway. But three? That’s where a blank wall suddenly looks “done”. That’s the rule of threes in interior design. It’s a simple styling trick that creates balance, adds rhythm, and turns empty space into a proper statement wall.

What Is Triptych Art?
Triptych is simply an artwork split across three panels. Same image, or theme, broken into three parts so it spans wider and feels more dynamic.
You’ll also see them called split canvas prints, 3-panel sets, split canvases, or just trios. Same concept, different label.
And yes, people search them a dozen ways. You might be looking for an artwork set of 3, a wall art set of 3, set 3 wall art, set of 3 art, 3 set wall art, or even 3 part canvas wall art. Call it what you like. The goal is the same: three pieces working together as one.
Popular Styles and Subjects for 3-Piece Sets
Coastal and Hamptons
If you love that breezy, fresh Hamptons style, a trio is basically made for it. Think soft blues, sandy neutrals, ocean horizons, beach paths, and calm skies. It’s the deep breath of wall art.
These sets work beautifully in open-plan living rooms and light bedrooms, especially when your furniture leans linen, white oak, and relaxed textures.
If that’s your vibe, start here: ocean and coastal art or go straight to beach wall art.
Modern Abstract
Want something that feels current, clean, and a little punchy? A three-piece abstract painting can add energy without making your space feel busy. It’s ideal for minimalist decor because you get interest and shape, but still keep the room calm.
Abstract sets also make it easier to tie colours together. One panel can pick up your cushions, another your rug, another a subtle tone in your cabinetry.
If you’re building a modern aesthetic, browse abstract art or lean into brighter palettes with colourful art.
Naturescapes and Botanical
Three panels are perfect for landscapes. They stretch the scene, add depth, and make the room feel warmer. Forests, mountains, soft hills, and misty horizons all work well as a triptych.
Prefer something lighter? Botanical illustrations are a classic. Leaves, florals, and gentle greenery add a fresh-room feeling, even if your plant on the windowsill is hanging on by a thread.

Famous Artist Reproductions
A triptych format can also make traditional art feel more contemporary. A familiar artwork split into three panels suddenly looks right at home in modern interiors.
If you love the classics, you might like a three-piece set inspired by artists like Van Gogh or Monet. It’s a nice middle ground between gallery energy and real-life living.

Where to Hang Your Trio Art Set
A trio works best where you want an obvious focal point. Somewhere your eye naturally lands.
Living Room
Hang it above the sofa, centred, with enough width to balance the furniture. If your sofa is long, a wide triptych often looks better than one small piece floating around on its own. You can also style it with living room wall art.
Bedroom
Above the bed is the classic spot. Keep it calm and cohesive, especially if you want the room to feel restful. For ideas, see bedroom wall art.
Dining Area
A three-piece set fills long walls beautifully and helps the space feel intentional, even if your dining chairs don’t match. No judgement.
Entryway or Office
Smaller trios are great in these spots. They add personality fast, without needing a full gallery wall commitment. Try entry hall art or study and office wall art.
Framed Prints vs. Stretched Canvas
This is usually the big decision. Same artwork, different finish, totally different feel.
Stretched Canvas
Stretched canvas has a clean, modern feel and works beautifully on larger walls. Each piece is printed on 380gsm premium satin canvas and stretched over a durable timber frame with neat, gallery-style edges. It’s a strong choice if you want something polished but still relaxed.
Framed Prints
Framed poster prints offer a crisp, polished finish and are available in black, white, or oak. Each print is produced at 300 PPI on 250gsm satin photo paper and framed behind high-clarity glass for a clean, refined look.
Floating Frames
Framed canvas prints are finished in a floating frame that adds depth and gives the piece a clean, elevated look. They are available in oak, white, or black.
Across these options, print quality matters. Our framed poster prints are produced at 300 PPI on 250gsm satin photo paper for sharp detail and a smooth, polished finish, while canvas options are printed on 380gsm premium satin canvas using HP Latex printing for rich colour and strong detail. Framed pieces are finished in durable timber frames that add warmth and structure to the artwork.
How to Hang 3-Piece Wall Art Correctly
You don’t need to be a tradie. You just need a plan.
Pick your centre point first. Lightly mark where the middle panel will go. This sets the whole layout.
Measure and mark the spacing. The sweet spot is 1.5 to 3 inches, about 4 to 7.5 cm, between each panel. That spacing keeps the visual flow, without the panels feeling squished or awkwardly far apart.
Use a level. Even small tilts show up when you have three pieces in a row.
Use the right wall anchors. Plasterboard needs anchors. Brick needs plugs. Your wall deserves better than “she’ll be right”.
Step back and check. Walk to the doorway. If it looks balanced from there, you’ve nailed it.
Tip: If you’re hanging above furniture, keep the bottom edge of the artwork around 15 to 25 cm above the top of the sofa or bedhead. It helps the set feel connected to the room.
