Popular Styles in This Collection
Abstract art works because it’s flexible. It doesn’t demand a particular room or a particular look. Whether you want something calm and tonal for the bedroom or a larger, more expressive piece for the living room, there’s something here.
Prefer a softer approach? Neutral abstract art in soft beige, sand, ivory, and warm white sits beautifully in pared-back spaces without overwhelming them. Have a look through our minimalistic art and neutral art collections if that’s more your speed.
After something with more presence? Colourful abstract art brings warmth and movement through sunset tones, ocean blues, earthy greens, and blush pinks. There are also geometric pieces with clean, confident structure.
Textured abstract art is worth a look too, built from visible brushwork, layered pigment, or an organic feel that echoes natural surfaces like water, stone, and sky. Modern abstract wall art leans into bold shapes and confident colour blocking, while contemporary pieces sit quieter, playing with negative space and asymmetry. Either works beautifully as canvas art, especially at a larger size.
For a coastal feel, the abstract ocean and coastal art collection is worth a look, and if botanical shapes are more your thing, our abstract floral prints sit nicely alongside it.
Where to Hang Abstract Art
Abstract wall art is one of the more adaptable styles you can buy. It works in living rooms, bedrooms, hallways, home offices, and pretty much anywhere that needs a bit of life on the walls.
A large framed canvas can anchor a living room wall. A smaller neutral print can soften a bedroom. Something bolder near the entry makes a solid first impression. It plays nicely with coastal, modern, Scandinavian, and boho interiors without needing a full redesign to do so.
If you’re shopping by room, we have dedicated collections for living room art, bedroom art, entry hall art, and study and office art.
Choosing the Right Size
Size makes more of a difference than most people expect. Large abstract wall art works best above a sofa, a bed head, or as the anchor piece on a feature wall, somewhere it has room to make an impact. A useful rule of thumb is to aim for artwork around 60 to 75% of the width of whatever it’s hanging above. Go too small and it ends up looking like an afterthought. Our extra large art collection is a solid starting point if you’re after serious scale.
Smaller pieces suit hallways, reading nooks, and tighter spots where a big canvas would feel like a squeeze. They’re also easy to group in twos or threes if you want more presence without going oversized.
Got a wide wall to fill and don’t want to commit to one large piece? A set does the job just as well. Our two-piece and three-piece sets spread the impact across multiple pieces, which works particularly well above a long sofa or dining table.
Framed Prints, Canvas, and Other Options
Many of our customers are shopping for abstract canvas prints specifically, and abstract art on canvas does have a depth and texture that paper can’t quite match, especially at a larger size. From there, it’s just a matter of choosing the finish and format that suits your space.
Every piece is printed using professional materials. Framed poster prints are produced on 250gsm satin photo paper for sharp detail and a smooth, polished finish. Canvas options are printed on 380gsm premium satin canvas using HP Latex printing for rich colour and a durable result.
Format options include:
Rolled prints: flexible if you’d like to choose your own frame
Framed poster prints: crisp and refined, available in black, white, or oak
Stretched canvas: a relaxed, gallery-style finish with clean edges
Framed canvas prints: extra depth and a more elevated look, also available in black, white, or oak
Framed and canvas pieces arrive ready to hang. FSC-certified timber frames are used across all framed options.
